Artwork Submission
W&Co have a skilled creative team of graphic designers who will be happy to produce effective and eye-catching digital designs. However, if you would prefer to supply your own designs, please supply print ready digital artwork as per the following guidelines:
FORMAT We accept digital artwork that is generated in the following desktop publishing applications: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Xpress, Freehand and Acrobat (all current editions). W&Co cannot accept responsibility for any unwanted results produced from artwork originally generated in any other software package.
We would ideally like artwork to be saved in PDF format with all image files and fonts embedded.
If supplying artwork in any other format such as EPS, please remember to include all supporting image files used and all fonts. Preferably convert the fonts to 'paths' or 'outlines', or embed them in the file.
COLOUR Unless specified printing is full colour and should be created and saved in CMYK format. Colour separations need to be saved as spot colours not CMYK. Please use the Pantone Matching System (PMS) colours whenever possible. RGB will be required for Lambda or LightJet printing services. W&Co cannot take responsibility for any unexpected results experienced from artwork supplied in incorrect colour formats.
Note on Solid Black Ink: To get the best print result when using solid blacks in your artwork we advise that the following 4 colour values are used - 40% C, 40% M, 40% Y, 100% K.
FILE SIZE Please supply artwork via email up to 15 Mb. Artwork above 15Mb should be sent by CD / DVD in the post to W&Co Design Solutions Ltd, Unit 9 West Yoke Farm, Michaels Lane, Ash, Sevenoaks, Kent TN15 7EP. CD’s supplied should be copies and not originals. W&Co accept no liability for loss of artwork supplied on disc.
SIZE & BLEED Please set all artwork to a scalable size (e.g.10%, 25%, 50%) in the correct proportion to your finished required size. All artwork must include a 3mm bleed on all sides.
RESOLUTION All non-vector artwork (image files) should be supplied at a minimum of 150dpi at the finished size intended for output. Optimum resolution is 300dpi at full size. Files supplied at resolutions higher then 300dpi will not show any improved quality. Larger format graphics can utilise lower resolution images; particularly those of a blurry nature such as clouds. Please call to speak with one of our designers with regards to resolutions on larger format graphics.
FONTS All fonts used should be embedded (PDF’s) or converted to paths / outlines (EPS, Illustrator) or supplied with the artwork (screen and printer).
