The Scimitar outdoor slim light box is the big brother of the Sabre light box, which also utilises edge-lit illumination. This light box is an effective external advertising medium used for the outdoor media industry. Like the Sabre, the Scimitar also has a lockable frame mounted on hinges, enabling quick and easy change of graphics via a special key. The front panel of the Scimitar light box is made from toughened glass, therefore, to assist opening the box has the addition of two gas stays. There is also an automatic power cut off when opening the unit for extra security and safety when changing adverts and promotions. All the features stated above add up to make the unit as tamper proof and vandal proof as possible. Therefore, Scimitar light box is the optimum illuminated advertising sign for larger outdoor media applications including: petrol station forecourts, car parks, bus shelters, railway platforms & concourses, shopping centres, town centres and nightclub promotions. The overall depth of the light box is just 57mm. This light box is available in 6 sheet (1750mm x 1188mm) poster size and A0 (1189mm x 841mm) poster size.

Poster Size: A0 / 1750mm x 1187mm
Profile: Base and top profile, facilitated by 2 gas stays To change the poster one has to unlock the top profiles with a special key so that the top frame can be swung open and the poster can be changed via a snap profile. In between the top and base profile, there is a rubber sealing to make the product water resistant.
Light box Frame: Aluminium back panel, with hinged frame, only 57mm deep. Requires security key to open.

IP Rating: IP66 (Totally protected against dust; Protected against high pressure water jets from any direction. Limited ingress permitted.)
* Philips T5 Daylight tubes have an average lifetime of 20,000 hours. These tubes can be purchased at most local hardware stores and are easily replaceable within the light box, unlike Cold Cathode or LED light boxes.
