W&Co have a skilled creative team of graphic designers able to produce effective and eye-catching digital designs on request, please speak to your sales contact/account handler with regards to costs for this service. If you would prefer to provide your own digital artwork, please supply print ready digital files as per the following guidelines:

Format
We accept digital artwork that is generated in the following desktop publishing applications: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Xpress and Acrobat (all current editions).

We would prefer artwork to be saved in PDF format with all image files embedded and flattened. All fonts should also be embedded.

If supplying artwork in any other format such as EPS, please remember to include all supporting image files used and all fonts. Preferably convert the fonts to ‘paths’ or ‘outlines’, or embed them in the file.

For cut vinyl / fret cut trays please supply vector based EPS, PDF or Ai file with compound paths (convert fonts to outlines).

File Size
You can supply artwork up to 10Mb via email direct to your account handler. Digital artwork above 10Mb can be sent via online transfer (such as dropbox.com or wetransfer.com) or uploaded to our FTP server, details of this can be sent to you upon request.

Colour
The colour setup (or mode) of your file should be supplied as CMYK for most digital artwork (including Inkjet prints, Dye-Sublimation Fabric prints and VUTEk prints). However, for Lambda & Light Jet photographic prints digital artwork should be supplied in RGB format.

Unless specified, printing is full colour and should be created and saved in the appropriate format. We do not offer a colour matching service and therefore recommend that paid for samples are processed prior to the final print should this be of concern.

Note on Solid Black Ink: To get the best print result when using solid blacks in your artwork we advise that the following 4 colour values are used – 40% C, 40% M, 40% Y, 100% K.

Size & Bleed
Please set all artwork to full size or a scalable size (e.g.10%, 25%, 50%) in the correct proportion to your finished required size. Bleed and visual sizes for your print can be supplied by your account handler – this does alter for each of our units. Crop marks and registration marks should not be added unless specifically requested.

Resolution
All non-vector artwork (image files) should be supplied at a minimum of 150dpi at the finished size intended for output. Optimum resolution is 300dpi at full size. Files supplied at resolutions higher than 300dpi will not show any significant improved quality. Larger format graphics can utilise lower resolution images; particularly those of a blurry nature such as clouds. Please call to speak with one of our designers with regards to resolution on larger format graphics.

Fonts
All fonts used should be embedded (PDF’s), converted to paths / outlines (EPS, Illustrator) or supplied with the artwork (screen and printer).

Please note that overdue artwork submission could cause delivery delays. Check with your account handler for advice.

W&Co accept no liability/responsibility for the following:

  • Any unexpected results experienced from artwork supplied in incorrect colour formats
  • Any unwanted results produced from artwork originally generated in any software package other than those listed above
  • Loss of artwork supplied on disc
