BMW Showroom Lightboxes

Tension Fabric Lightboxes help drive sales at BMW

W&Co is privileged to have been supplying with BMW car showroom lightboxes since 2005. Including being an approved supplier of illuminated displays to BMW’s most prestigious car and motorcycle showrooms in Park Lane and Westminster, London. Large format LED Fabric light boxes have been produced for various car showroom refurbishment projects over the years, along with some non-illuminated tension fabric frames, which have all helped create a wow factor at BMW, from the top of their showroom walls to the bottom of their basement handover bays.

BMW Westminster Diplomatic & International Sales Lightboxes

Tension Fabric Lightbox at BMW Diplomatic Sales

The first project for BMW was for the Diplomatic and International Sales showroom, originally based in Westminster, back in 2005. BMW required a number of large promotional graphics to be illuminated and W&Co’s large format light boxes were selected for their even and bright illumination.

Subsequently other car showroom lightboxes have been supplied and fitted; including a series of smaller recessed fabric face light boxes installed into columns around the BMW International Sales car showroom in 2011.

BMW Park Lane Car Showroom Lightboxes

Fabric Face Lightbox in BMW Park Lane London

Following the success with the car showroom lightboxes at BMW Westminster, W&Co was invited to produce a range of large format light boxes for the prestigious car manufacturer’s new state-of-the-art showroom at ‘BMW Park Lane’ near Mayfair in Central London in 2011.

A selection of illuminated and non-illuminated fabric face graphic displays were custom made to showcase a wide range of classic and new BMW models on display. The frameless, chrome finished units, many LED illuminated, complement the high quality brand and create a stunning backdrop within the stylish car showroom space.

Elvis Presley’s BMW 507 Illuminated Graphic Wall

Elvis Presley’s BMW 507 Illuminated Graphic Wall

An area of interest within the Park Lane car showroom was a vintage BMW 507 with Fabric Face light boxes situated behind the car creating a illuminated graphic wall back drop.

These car showroom lightboxes displayed a super enlarged black & white photograph of Elvis Presley receiving the BMW 507 in 1958 when he served as a soldier in Germany. This car had previously been used by racing driver Hans Stuck in sports car races, but the engine was modified for Elvis’ day-to-day road use.

BMW ‘Motorrad’ Showroom Lightboxes

Fabric face light boxes were produced for BMW Motorrad, the dedicated motorbike display area of the London showroom. One particularly large format Fabric Face LED light box, reaches five and half metres high and actually spans two floors of the building!

BMW’s London 2012 Olympics Lightboxes

As a top tier sponsor of the London 2012 Olympics, BMW wanted to utilise light boxes to highlight their prominent position as the official car supplier to the Olympic Games. Fabric Face light boxes with fabric prints of BMW’s Olympic design took pride of place in their Park Lane car showroom in London.

BMW Basement Handover Bay Illuminated Graphic Walls

BMW recently contacted W&Co again to assist them with their basement handover bay refurbishment. They wanted to brighten up the large plain white walls in the otherwise gloomy basement area and so it was decided to install large format fabric face light boxes.

The largest car showroom light box illuminates a graphic of the new BMW 4 series and was a huge 8 metres wide! W&Co worked closely with the design team to develop a range of exciting backdrops that give the impression that the customer’s new car has driven straight out of the illuminated graphic!

Why were W&Co’s Fabric Face Lightboxes chosen?

The fabric face light boxes were chosen for these projects for their high quality build and their even and bright illumination. It was important for the customer to have a frameless design to maximise the graphic area, but it was also because these light boxes offer the client the flexibility to easily replace and/or reuse the dye-sublimation printed textile graphics.

The W&Co Fabric Face systems offer a front loading graphic change where a rubber lip pushes easily into the edges of the face of the unit by hand without the need for specialist tools or installation teams. The fabric graphics supplied by W&Co are high resolution with good saturation and sharpness and they fit perfectly across the face of the unit without ripples or sagging.
