Time for Illumination
Custom illuminated displays were produced for the Swatch concession at Selfridges in both London and Birmingham. A large freestanding light box was incorporated into the standard merchandising unit used to display their watches.
W&Co supplied and fitted the POS display unit with the Flex Face light box running across the rear, offering a promotional graphic at a 4 metre by 2 metres in size, creating a massive brand presence in the prestigious department store.
An entirely bespoke illuminated display was constructed around a column at the Swatch concession at London's Gatwick Airport. The curved face light box was situated towards the top of the column and measured nearly 2 metres high by a circumference of nearly 3 metres.
The unit was manufactured in two parts and partly constructed onsite. The light box was manufactured with easy to change front covers to enable the Swatch staff to change the graphics for monthly promotions. The illuminated column was an integral part of Swatch's new site at Gatwick airport, giving the brand a much stronger visual identity, which was hoped would lead to higher sales from holiday makers and business travellers.
Subsequent to the above, Swatch has placed orders for ultra slim light boxes and poster frames for stores around the UK.
