Project Description

DP World London Gateway Large built up letters

W&Co is DP World’s first port of call for signage!

Large built up letters with halo illumination and a face illuminated circular icons logo was fabricated and installed on the Logistics Centre and Common User Facility at DP World London Gateway Port based on the north bank of the Thames in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex.

Following an Essex Chambers of Commerce business networking event, W&Co was privileged to be given the opportunity as a reputable local supplier to quote on the large built up letters signage requirements for the warehouse style building and successfully won the contract to undertake the works.

London Gateway Port combines one of Europe’s largest logistics parks with the UK’s most advanced deep-sea port. Boasting a massive 386,102 sq/ft of warehouse space the Logistics Centre required equally impressive signage to be installed on the two main elevations.

The individual large built up letters were each made up to 1 metre high and were internally fitted with high bright white LED’s to provide halo illumination reflecting off of the building’s cladding.

The large circular element of the logo was manufactured as a big rim and return sign. It was fully face illuminated with a digitally printed translucent vinyl graphic applied to the front to create the colourful emblem.

The large signage letters were installed using a large access platform at approximately 12 metres up and they were bolted from both sides through the thick insulated cladding to ensure a safe and secure fixing for the signs.

After successfully completing the high quality signage for DP World, W&Co is looking forward to further signage opportunities as London Gateway develops and new warehouse buildings are constructed
