Illuminated Flex Face Signs

Illuminated Flex Face Signs, or Flex face Lightboxes, are outdoor backlit signs which are ideal for larger outdoor sign applications such as illuminated outdoor retail park signs, company outdoor signs and shop front signs.

The illuminated flex face signs are very robust and durable with a 200mm deep aluminium profile as standard with internal supporting struts fixed to the rigid back panel to create the rear tray of the light box. They can be made in sections for transport and ease of handling. They are then built up on site to realise the complete overall large size.

The internal backlit illumination of the light box sign is produced using energy saving, high brightness, water resistant and long lifetime LEDs. The LED modules are specially selected to give optimum illumination to the surface of the graphic in order to give the most even illumination possible.

Flex Face Signs are so called because it features a flexible PVC banner fascia which is stretched across the front of the light box sign and tensioned accordingly to create what is essentially like a skin on a drum. The PVC banner ‘skin’ is specifically manufactured for backlit applications to allow for the light to illuminate the banner graphic from edge-to-edge.

As well as standard square and rectangular shapes, illuminated Flex Face signs can be formed in various other shapes and sizes including circular, triangular, hexagonal and irregular shapes. Even large illuminated letters can be formed to create completely bespoke large format illuminated signs. One of the latest adaptions is the Glowline Flex Face sign, which has a downlight from the side of the sign which shines downwards offering more light below for extra security outside shops or banks.

W&Co can supply the special translucent PVC banner print to go with the flex face light box. It can be illuminated over the whole print area, edge-to-edge, as standard. Alternatively we can print with selective illumination whereby some areas of the graphic are selected to illuminate and some are blocked out. This can give the graphic some extra impact espcially for logos and lettering.
