Suzuki accelerates sales with innovate displays and illuminated signs
W&Co is privileged to have been working with the renowned automotive brand, Suzuki, designing, developing and manufacturing illuminated signage, monolith signs, LED light boxes, freestanding modular tension fabric systems and illuminated display stands for their car showrooms.
Suzuki has been on a recent drive to increase customer sales globally through innovative marketing solutions and encouraging customers to go in to more welcoming dealerships. Suzuki reviewed the vast portfolio of work W&Co had undertaken with high end automotive clients such as BMW, MINI, Land Rover and Ford to name a few and was confident W&Co was the right company to work with to realise their ambitions.
Suzuki Caribbean Illuminated Signs and Displays
W&Co was approached directly by Suzuki Caribbean, based in Guadeloupe and Martinique, and asked us to develop and manufacture illuminated signage and displays for several dealerships across the Caribbean islands. Using W&Co's wealth of knowledge and expertise in displays, signage and commercial automotive project experience we were able to supply everything Suzuki required.
For the car showrooms W&Co manufactured individual illuminated built up letters and logo which were mounted to a curved canopy over the dealership entrance making an overall sign width of 8 metres wide.
Inside the showrooms we supplied illuminated freestanding displays and wall mounted LED light boxes all with a view to ensure that the car brand stands out and encourages more customers to enter the showroom to increase potential sales.
Suzuki Central America Illuminated Monolith Signs
For the most recent project W&Co has produced monolith signs for Suzuki Dealerships in Central America including Belize, Guyana and French Guiana.
The Central American car showrooms required large branded pylon signs to catch the eye of customers from a distance. Their design was for a 5 metre high monolith sign with the Suzuki logo and the dealership name on to be illuminated in the evenings for extra street presence.
W&Co fabricated the totem signs at just under 5 metres tall by nearly 2 metres wide from galvanized steel frames clad with aluminium panels. The ‘S’ part of the logo was vacuum formed acrylic which was pushed through the curved aluminium panel along with the ‘Suzuki’ acrylic letters pushed through underneath. The dealer name used special day/night acrylic that shows as black when non-illuminated during the day and then turns white when illuminated in the evenings.
Suzuki UK LED Lightboxes and Freestanding Displays
Prior to the Caribbean and Central American projects W&Co had met with Suzuki UK and was asked to develop new retail solutions for UK car showrooms, ranging from fabric freestanding modular cubes, LED Focus Frame stands, through to premium quality LED illuminated lightboxes.
W&Co's designers worked closely with the client to establish a key design brief, and to establish a clear and concise understanding in 2D and 3D visuals of all their requirements and objectives whilst following Suzuki's brand identity guidelines.
Thereafter W&Co was asked to develop prototypes of branded LED Tension Fabric LED light boxes and a range of double sided free standing graphic displays for roll-out across 480 UK dealerships.
The brief for the freestanding display graphic screens was that they should be positioned near to cars but also allow people to see beyond the screen to other cars and areas of the showroom and also to be modular so elements of the graphic could change without changing the whole graphic.
The most suitable product to develop was the FabriTex Fabric Banner Stand, a high quality double sided freestanding fabric display at only 45mm deep. This was made up of 3 pieces of 600 x 600mm squares to create a solo stand of 1 x 3 configuration, or, other stands could be used next to one another to create a larger graphic screen of 3x3 configuration. Suzuki was happy with this solution as they wanted to have a modular system, easy to install and move around the dealership whilst enabling bold changeable graphics that could be easily replaced with new and upcoming offers or even using one segmented image.
FabriTex Tension Fabric systems offer a front loading graphic change system where a rubber lip pushes easily into the edges of the profiles by hand without the need for specialist tools or installation teams. The fabric graphics supplied by W&Co are high resolution with good saturation and sharpness and they fit perfectly across the face of the unit without ripples or sagging.
Also as part of the display solution was our standard premium quality double-sided freestanding LED Focus Frame; 1500mm high x 335mm wide x 35mm deep, perfect for standing next to vehicles in showrooms with specific details relevant to that vehicle. Each display had a portrait display pocket to suit an internal A3 sized backlit print to showcase key information such as CO2 emissions reports and sales offers. The units had bright even illumination, branded with the Suzuki logo and easily portable to situate near the relevant car.
